Hello! Please don’t expect too many new blog entries in the upcoming week, school work is piling up! Yah, I love it!
For my Chinese economy class we have to prepare a lecture and therefore write a 30 page paper before Monday and the week after that give the actual lecture. Our chosen topic is on East Asian (ASEAN+3) integration into the world economy. Quite an interesting topic and I like it very much. In addition, for Korean economy class I have to give another presentation next week and this Saturday we’re also starting with our final term paper for Strategic Management and Global Competition. I’m happy that the scheduling with the different teams for different classes worked out quite well. Usually things can be quite troublesome when you try to plan meetings with different teams for different classes.
From the bright side I’ve also allocated time to play! So yesterday evening I went to an ice skate rink, however recreational ice-skating was only during daytime so we treated ourselves with a nice meal instead. Friday and Saturday evening are already booked, will hang out with friends!
BTW: Thanks for your emails I will try to reply them ASAP but most likely next week. Anyway out for now! I can better go back to my studies!
Today I was wandering around campus with my camera while enjoying the lovely autumn day! Everything looks so beautiful and it’s even more amazing to hear the birds singing (my favourite songs) in the trees. The colours of the leaves are changing from green to red and the weather is changing from sunny and warm to nippy. These days, evenings and mornings are getting really cold, however during day time you can still enjoy the autumn sunshine.
HI!
I just got back from Seoraksan and I’m happy to the share the first set of pictures with you. Seoraksan is located next to the beach about 200km East from Seoul. It is famous for its national park and mountains. I really enjoy Korean autumn since entire Seoul and Korea look so beautiful. All leafs of the maple trees turn red. I will post some more pictures later.
Hello peeps! Life is fantastic! Happiness everyday and I love Korean autumn! (See the picture above)
All midterms are over and according to my feeling it went well! Many things happened since my last post. For the last 12 days a Dutch friend was visiting me and I had a blast, today I sent him off to the airport.
After midterms and lots of stressed people around me, the party scene went crazy! First I was invited to a private BMW party, then there was this party at Lotte Hotel, and I celebrated Halloween two times. Last weekend I went gambling and won (net profit) roughly 45 EUR. Find the pictures of all the parties on my blog!
Furthermore, the second part of my courses started, which means final term papers and plenty of presentations to go! Besides being a scholar, being a banker is challenging and I meet many interesting people at work. This Wednesday I am going for a drink with my office buddies, part of Korean business culture is that you go with your colleagues for a drink from time to time. Keep you updated!
Hello earth! Midterms are in full swing this week and I always love these periods! Last weekend I was studying at the central library at campus, which was quite an experience on itself.
Let me start rambling. The central library at campus has a capacity of 3500+ seats and its open 24/7. People love to study here! In order to take a seat you need to reserve one first, this reservation (number) gives you the right to sit on that seat for the next three hours. So when we went downstairs (were sitting on the sixth floor) to extend our stay, (yeah! we’re integrating quite well, studying more than three hours in a row) people where waiting in cue for seats coming available! How crazy is that!
I will try to capture a snapshot of this phenomenon! Keep you posted.
