Clear Admit recently conducted a survey to recognise the best of blogging among this year’s MBA applicant bloggers. Clear Admit released the results yesterday and I would like to say kudos to the cream of the crop. I was not surprised to see Dave, PowerYogi, & Brit-Chick leading the charge. I love BusinessWeek. Since two weeks or so, BusinessWeek has enhanced its webpage with introducing a new functionality: Company Insight Centre!
I must admit it really gets insight companies! You can lookup a wealth of endless information regarding companies, industries, and business people. Ranging from a complete financial data set of 350,000 companies, industry and sector performance, organisation structures, executive pays etc.
I truly love the functionality “financial ratios” within the section “financials” for any company. It not only displays the actual ratio for a specific company but it even plots a specific company ratio upon the related industry performance.
Checkout the financial ratios of Google (GOOG) and its relative performance against industry competitors. Thus, thanks to BW, in a blink of an eye you can get a well rounded indication of any company performance!
What an exciting Sunday! Today, after the official and extra time Ajax won the Dutch Cup in the nerve cracking penalty-kick series against AZ! Manchester United won the Premier League without even coming in action today. They won their game yesterday, whereas Chelsea couldn’t win from Arsenal this afternoon. On top of all these sport announcements, at 8pm France announced their new president, the conservative Nicolas Sarkozy with an estimate of 53% of the votes.
It seems like there will be a crazy week ahead of us!

Businessweek started a blog two weeks ago: Blogspotting. Blogspotting is “where the worlds of business, media and blogs collide”, and during the two first weeks they have been blogging about blogging. From their latest entry:
It was almost embarrassing. At the BDI conference on blogging that’s going on a couple blocks from here, someone asked if blogs were a big deal outside the U.S. The panelists barely seemed to know. PubSub founder Bob Wyman had to grab the mike and set the record straight.
He said that there were more bloggers in Korea, China and Japan combined than in the rest of the world
That is truly interesting, considering both the different political environments and current/historical relationship towards each other that those countries have. Perhaps the best and most powerful way to increase long-term stability and security in the area would be to make a serious upgrade to Altavista’s Babelfish, so that people from those countries could read each others blogs and discuss. Or am i being naïve?
