Hello earth! Midterms are in full swing this week and I always love these periods! Last weekend I was studying at the central library at campus, which was quite an experience on itself.
Let me start rambling. The central library at campus has a capacity of 3500+ seats and its open 24/7. People love to study here! In order to take a seat you need to reserve one first, this reservation (number) gives you the right to sit on that seat for the next three hours. So when we went downstairs (were sitting on the sixth floor) to extend our stay, (yeah! we’re integrating quite well, studying more than three hours in a row) people where waiting in cue for seats coming available! How crazy is that!
I will try to capture a snapshot of this phenomenon! Keep you posted.
The fall edition of Samsung’s DigitAll magazine explores greatness in the digital era.
To understand the topic better, Greg Lindsay portrays five business leaders of companies like Ingenio, Zopa, Honest Tea, Cleantech and Firefox.
Business writer Nicholas G. Carr (blog) meanwhile explores the topic conceptually, and investigates the claim that in the Age of the Internet, greatness in business is no longer “an expression of the aptitudes of individual persons or organisations, but a consequence of the connections between them”. Carr claims there is a “fundamental flaw in the thinking of those who believe greatness emerges naturally from the interconnections of the crowd or network”, the so-called “wisdom of the crowd”.
Also nice is a story by Observer architecture critic Deyan Sudjic on how designer Ross Lovegrove “turns technology into the experience of sense”.

The Headquarters of all national and international financial corporations are located around City Hall and Gwanghwamun! Whereas all creative, media & entertainment, and IT companies have found their home base in Gangnam.
Last Friday we celebrated the birthday of Mi Sun (German), it was loads of fun! Afterwards we went to club day in Hongdae and I came home at 6AM! Got to go now! Catch you later! Ciao!
