Hangul Mode

Hangul Mode
Just finished studying Hangul (Korean alphabet), now I can recognise, write, pronounce (sometimes still difficult) all vowels (21 in total). Feel really happy and delighted that I finally started to study Korean although I find it still very hard! The picture you can see above is taken in Gangnam, one of the main hotspots for Korean youth! The other picture is my last night’s dinner which was fabulous! Well, time to go on an outing after a few hours of studying. Catch you later!

First days in Seoul, Korea

First days in Seoul Korea
Hello ! First entry from tropical Seoul. My friend was waiting for me at the airport which was really nice! She is from America, we met in Korea, and it turns out that we will study this semester both at Yonsei University. It was cool to hang out with her after such long time of no see. The rest of the days up till now I explored the city, met some (old) and new friends, went to the noraebang (karaoke), bars, restaurants, clubbing etc. Furthermore, I wired myself in Korea with acquiring a mobile phone. Cheerio.

For anyone interested in the Korea weather you can find it here.

Social networking the mobile way

Vodafone Logo
Vodafone has just published the 16th issue of Receiver, its online magazine on the future of communication technologies.

The current edition is all about social networking the mobile way: clubbing, seeing your favourite band, sharing memories of a night out or playfully exploring the city, getting to know and experiencing, even creating, music.

How can mobile add to all these? And how does it affect how we get our friends together for joint action? Does it trigger emergent behaviour? Or is it the ideal means to pull it all together?

The eight articles deal with social coordination in urban environments, “big games”, social planning, and much more.
